Okay guys,

I’m taking a hiatus from writing. This has been a long time coming, I’ve had a lot going on and I’ve been struggling through trying to produce these stories, but I just can’t do it anymore.

To some this may just be fanfiction, but I take a lot of pride in delivering a message and I don’t feel as though I’m doing myself any justice at this point in time. I think it’s unfair to you all, not just to me. This isn’t forever, probably only a few months, but leaving you guys hanging isn’t something I’m trying to do. When I return, I’m hoping to be a stronger writer, with a fresh point of view and a new take on things.

I appreciate the love you guys have shown me more than you will ever know! You’re all fucking special! Because of you guys, I don’t have to struggle to get heard and that really is a blessing. Ive also been able to express myself in ways that I’m unable to in my day to day life which has helped me through some darker times. Some of you guys have really had my back for a looooong time and that means the world to me.

I appreciate you guys so much. Stay safe xxx

P.s None of my stories are cancelled, I’m literally just taking a break.

Introduction

The streets of Brownsville were almost empty; their only occupants the burned orange leaves that had fallen from the trees. The sun had begun its ascent over New York, lighting up the sky as a new day was birthed.

Lana sat on the front steps of her home, a blanket draped over her svelte frame and a cigarette perched between her full lips. She could be found there every morning, relishing the tranquillity that the early hours brought, enjoying the only time that she truly felt at peace.

The nineteen year old shivered as Mother Nature blew a particularly fierce gust of wind in her direction, blowing her dark wavy hair in the way of her icy gray eyes and almost extinguishing her cigarette. “Fuck,” she cursed uncharacteristically, pushing her thick hair out of her honey colored face as she took a drag from the white stick.

She was grumpy this morning. She’d been finding it hard to sleep at night, feeling unable to rest peacefully in a bed that wasn’t truly her own. Though Lana and what was left of her family had moved back in with her Grandma almost two months prior, she still felt unsettled and out of place in the moderately sized house.

The pulling up of a car across the street pulled Lana’s focus away from grievances. She instantly recognized the vehicle, the shiny black exterior of the Benz, and her bad mood disappeared.

A dark fitted sat low on Chris’ forehead, shielding most of his handsome face from view as he exited his car, but she recognized the way he moved, just like a woman could tell her husband by the back of his head. Colorful tattoos peeked up out of the neck of his sweater and illustrated the hand he was now using to lock the doors of Mercedes.
